This week’s list is short and sweet with mostly lightweight material. I’m working under a lot of deadlines and reading is getting sort of swept to the side. I hate when that happens, but it’s better to work than starve, right?
- Science Fiction 101, by Robert Silverberg. I am less interested in the stories in this book and more interested in the introduction where the author details his journey to becoming a writer. He goes into more detail about his failures and lessons learned than most.
- Let’s Pretend This Never Happened, by Jenny Lawson. I’m a sucker for childhood memoirs, particularly form people close to my age. I like to see the commonalities we have and how much worse/better they had it than me.
- The Patriot Threat, by Steve Berry. I’m 50/50 on Berry’s work, but this one has a strong historical premise which I enjoy, so I’m giving it a whirl.
- The Remedy, by Suzanne Young. (Not pictured because I borrowed the eBook.) I read the first two books in this YA series and enjoyed them. This one is connected to the first two, although not a direct sequel. Hopefully it will be just as good.
