Let’s see. News for the week… This has been a mercifully quiet week after a week spent dealing with ice storm damage. If you haven’t had a chance yet to enter my giveaway for an ARC of Broken Fate, you can still do so until February 17th. Other than that, I’ve been putting as much time as I can into Avenging Fate (still a working title). I feel like I’m so far behind on it. I really thought I’d have it done by now but, you know, life has other plans. I’m getting there, though!
- The Siren, by Kiera Cass. This is a standalone novel from the author of The Selection series. It’s about a girl who’s, well, a siren. She’s happy with her lot until she meets a human boy and then she begins to think that maybe there is a better life out there. From what I understand, this is an older book from Cass that she reworked and re-released.
- Feverborn, by Karen Marie Moning. This is the latest installment of the Fever series. I loved the first five books or so in this paranormal fantasy for adults, but the last few books have really tailed off. Each one feels like a snippet of a story rather than an entire book. It’s like Moning is trying to draw this series out as long as possible, even though it could have ended two books ago. I’ll read it just to see what happens, but not with the “fever” I once did.
