Library Haul & Reading List 04/15/16

Library ebooks

Wow. Release day is almost here. My blog tour starts next week and I’ll finally start getting a sense of how Broken Fate is doing sales-wise. It’s all exhilarating and terrifying. However, as much as I’m looking forward to the release, I’m also looking a little forward to getting it behind me so that things will quiet down some and I can really push book two and some other projects out the door. And so I can get back to more reading!

(P.S. Don’t forget that the launch party for Broken Fate is tonight on Facebook from 7:00 – 9:00 PM ET! Come enjoy the fun, giveaways, and the chance to talk to three authors from Clean Teen Publishing!)

  • Still Alice, by Lisa Genova. I watched the movie on Starz and was simultaneously terrified and inspired. We have a lot of brain malfunctions in my family, so something like early-onset Alzheimer’s disease is my worst nightmare. On the other hand, the story was so well done, you didn’t feel too sorry for the characters, but rather hopeful and inspired. At any rate, now I must read the book!
  • Deep Work, by Cal Newport. Getting into the flow of work isn’t something that used to trouble me. Ever since the advent of the Internet, email, and social media with their constant demands and distractions, however, it’s become more and more of a struggle. I’m hoping this book will have some useful tips and inspiration for getting back on track.
