Library Haul & Reading List 04/22/16

This has been a wild week! A book release is much more of an event than I thought it would be. I thought the book would come out and it would be sort of ho-hum. Instead there have been parties, blog tours, book blitzes, Facebook events, many messages of support and congratulations and a massive gain in Twitter followers. It’s surreal.

To that end, I want to say thank you to everyone who has made this week so much more than I ever imagined. I am trying to personally thank as many people as possible, but I know that, despite my best efforts, some are going to get missed. Know that I am grateful for every blog post, Tweet, share, like, review, and (of course) purchase of Broken Fate. I am touched and humbled by the amount of support that the book has received.

Thank you

  • The Obsession, by Nora Roberts. The Obsession is this year’s romantic mystery/thriller from Nora Roberts. Last year she managed to salvage my opinion of her books with The Liar, which I thought was quite good. Prior to that, I’d reached a point where I was afraid that I’d outgrown one of my favorite authors. I hope I still have warm fuzzies after this one.
  • Lady Renegades, by Rachel Hawkins. This is the third book in the Rebel Belle series. These YA books are about a southern belle princess-type girl who discovers that she’s really a Paladin, part of an ancient line of guardians. It’s a cute and not-so-serious series that, being from the south, I find amusing.
