Library Haul & Reading List 04/29/16

Well, release week came and went and I survived. Now things are slowing down and I’m heavily into edits for Avenging Fate (still a working title). I’m trying to have it to my publisher in a couple of weeks. That’s the goal, anyway, and it should be doable if I can stop messing around.

In other news, don’t forget that the BOGO offer for Broken Fate and Twists in Time is still going on. Also, I’m running a giveaway in honor of Tabletop Day which includes the fun family card game, “Zeus on the Loose,” plus a swag pack. Details on both offers are on my current giveaways page.

  • The Two-Income Trap: Why Middle-Class Parents Are (Still) Going Broke, by Elizabeth Warren, Amelia Warren Tyagi. I’m a huge personal finance nerd and I read the first edition of this book years ago (pre-recession). I was curious to see what the authors updated, and what they changed now that we’re past the Great Recession (and now that Elizabeth Warren has become a senator). It’s an interesting look at how having two incomes does not guarantee financial success and how, in fact, it may place you at greater risk for financial troubles.
  • Dark Energy, by Robison Wells. Aliens! That was all I needed to see before placing my hold on this YA story about a UFO that crashes into the Midwest and the mystery that results from the aliens’ appearance. It sounds like a fun, fast read.
