Library Haul & Reading List 05/20/16

There’s not much news this week since I’m in a lull, having just turned Avenging Fate over to my publisher. I haven’t been able to drag myself to the computer to start on book three. My brain is recuperating after a full-blown meltdown.

I do want to say thank you to everyone who came to my Goodreads event yesterday. It was a lot of fun and I’ll be sure to do it again sometime. It’s always nice to “meet” people who share your interests and talk about fun stuff. On to the list!

Thank You

The Crown, by Kiera Cass. This is the last in The Selection series and the second following Princess Eadlyn as she goes through the same mate selection process that saw her parents end up happily ever after. Will Eadlyn find her own happy ending? I didn’t enjoy The Heir as much as I did the original trilogy, but I’m sticking through to the end of this series.

Bloodline, by Claudia Gray. This Star Wars novel is another prequel to the latest movie, The Force Awakens. This one focuses on Leia’s rise to power within the New Republic and the problems inherent in being Darth Vader’s daughter. I was so-so on Aftermath,  so I’m hoping to enjoy this one more. Since this one features a familiar character, I’m hopeful. (With luck, there’s some Han Solo in there, too.)
