The news this week is… Virtually nothing. At least nothing interesting and Earth shattering. With the painting project in full swing, a funeral to attend, board game reviews to write, and plenty to keep me busy with my “real” job, I’m lucky just to get the bare minimum done every day. I am squeezing in some time to outline book four of the Threads of the Moirae series, however. And I’m still playing around with several other ideas. Soon the cover design, editing, and release planning for Hunted Fate will consume all of my time, so I’ve got to go paint something else to stay ahead. Bye!
The Reading List
(Short and Sweet)
Defy the Stars, by Claudia Gray. A girl and an intelligent android (who’s viewed as an abomination by the populace) team up to protect their planet and end an interstellar war. There aren’t enough hard-core science fiction YA novels, so I hope this one is good. (And that it’s true science fiction, not a fantasy mashup.) Does the girl fall in love with this android? That’s not clear from the description and I kind of hope not, as not every story has to be a love story. Let them be friends. (And I wonder if he’s even an android, or some sort of human crammed into a shell or something. Waiting for the twist…)
