There’s not much on the news front this week. The edits of Hunted Fate are finished and now I’m working on all the stuff for my upcoming blog tour… Posts, graphics, excerpts and the like. And I’m ordering some new swag! I love shopping with a purpose.
In the meantime, I’ve been catching up on my movie watching and clearing off my reading list. I finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (yeah, about Yondu… I cried) and I’m going to see Wonder Woman this week. I’m hoping that getting some new stories into my brain will fuel my own creativity, which has been a bit lacking lately. I think it’s just the “between book” doldrums, coupled with the heat, but it’d better pass soon.
The Reading List
The Sunshine Sisters, by Jane Green. I haven’t really loved a Jane Green book since she stopped writing fluffy chick-lit and moved onto “serious” books. But, I keep checking them out in the hopes that she’ll return to the types of books I once loved. This one sounds serious though, as three sisters, all with issues, reunite when their mother is stricken with a disease. I feel like this has been done before, but we’ll see.
Camino Island, by John Grisham. This isn’t Grisham’s typical legal thriller, but it’s a thriller nonetheless. This one involves a priceless stolen manuscript and an author who tries to figure out what happened to it by getting close to the book dealer who may have something to do with it. Of course, things go sideways, secrets are revealed, and bad trouble looms. It sounds much like his legal thrillers, only without the “legal” part.
